Services we offer and crops we produce

Jones Road Ranch is a working ranch focused on doing a few things and doing them right. Currently our focus is horse boarding, ranch cottage rentals, live Christmas (Virginia pine) trees and Tuscan blue rosemary.

Pasture Boarding

Pasture boarding is offered on ranch pastures with abundant, lush year round forage including Bahia and other warm season forage and annual rye grass for winter forage. High quality hay produced on the ranch and from nearby ranches is used to supplement cold season pasture forage as needed.

Rosemary Production

Tuscan Blue Rosemary production was established on the ranch in the spring of 2017 with our initial pilot crop. As of mid-2020, we now have 150+ mature Tuscan Blue rosemary plants capable of producing commercial quantities of locally sourced rosemary to the East Texas/Greater Houston area. We currently can supply fresh wholesale rosemary to the local grocer, bakery and restaurant markets. Rosemary is cut fresh each week. Download our 2020 Rosemary market sheet to learn more about the crop and how we can deliver fresh cut wholesale rosemary to your kitchen or facility weekly.

Christmas Tree Production

Virginia Pines.jpg

Jones Road Ranch will plant its initial Christmas tree seedlings in the winter of 2022. Varieties scheduled for planting include the popular Virgina Pine and more exotic varieties such as the Carolina Sapphire. Jones Road Ranch Christmas trees will be marketed locally as 'live' trees for choose and take or the ranch will deliver to the local area including the Woodlands. Jones Road Ranch Christmas trees are intended as an environmentally friendly, 'green' alternative where trees will be delivered with root balls in pots, ready for transplanting in homeowner landscaping and yards after the holiday season. Varieties available from the ranch will be especially suited to growing and thriving in our East Texas climate.

Boarding

The ranch offers unmatched value for equine pasture boarding. Lush year-round pasture, a 125x325 western riding arena, a 75x150 riding arena and a 60x6H round pen for training are available. Boarders are comfortable relaxing in our inside lounge area or the outside porch. We are located less than 15 minutes from over 100 miles of equestrian trails in the Sam Houston National Forest on either side of IH45. Jones Road Ranch offers an unmatched value for boarding in the greater Houston Texas area.
